The La Alteña Distillery, nestled in the mineral-rich highlands of Jalisco, is the heart of El Tesoro Tequila. For over 80 years, the Camarena family has crafted their tequila using estate-grown agave, honoring time-honored traditions. Their process includes the use of a traditional tahona to crush the agave, followed by fermentation in open wooden vats. The tequila is then aged in ex-American whiskey barrels, adding depth and complexity to its character.
